Obama Raising $30 Million Per Month; Hillary Borrowing From Self

February 7, 2008

Two stories hit the news outlets at nearly the same time here, and I think it’s important to draw a contrast between these two candidates on this.  This isn’t an issue or a plan, this is something they have already done, and I think this is how they should be judged.  I believe that we need to watch the candidates, and see how they campaign, that this will reflect the way they will govern.

Obama is currently raising $30 million per month.  He raised $32 million in January, and is on pace for $30 million in February.  This averages out to slightly more than $1 million per day.  Hillary, on the other hand, is out of money.  She raised less than half of Obama’s numbers in January, and she has now asked her supporters to raise $3 million in 3 days, slightly less, and slightly late.  Obama knows how long this fight is going to be because he is prepared to fight it.  Isn’t that the kind of person we want as President?

Imagine a President who saw the hurricane heading for New Orleans 48 hours before landfall knowing that it was going to be stronger than the levees.  The hurricane was a Category 5 hurricane.  It was possible it could go down to a Category 4 before landfall.  The levees were only built to withstand a Category 3 hurricane.  We experienced a failure of leadership on that date.

If there is another national crisis, I trust Obama more than Hillary to be prepared for it.  Today on CNN they said that Republicans are preparing to “hold their nose and vote for McCain.”  They seemed to imply that it was McCain’s wife who they were quoting.  I am unwilling to hold my nose and vote for Hillary, which is exactly what it would be.  I don’t want Hillary in charge of this country.  She’s got too many ties to too many people, and she is pulling in favors to get elected — which will be expected to be repaid.

Bill Clinton is taking a $20 million payout from Los Angeles billionare manager Ron Burkle while Hillary is loaning her campaign $5 million.  To me, this is dishonest.  It’s as dishonest as violating your word and turning on people who vote for you.

If Hillary is the Democratic nominee, I will not support her.  I want nothing to do with this kind of politics anymore.  Barrack Obama is the candidate who will put an end to all the favors, because he owes all of his debt to the American People who financed his campaign individually.

Hillary will say anything, do anything, promise anything, and put herself so far in debt to the rich and powerful in this country, that she will no longer be able to fulfill any of the promises she has made throughout her campaign.  She has already broken some of them.

Lets debunk comments from a Ron Paul Support regarding Economy

February 1, 2008

Well, I was feeling rather bored today.  Moreso bored than usual.  Whenever I check the stats for the site, there is a little link to someone else’s wordpress blog.  It is a kinda cool feature, but I rarely click it.  Why?  Because I find that most people write garbage.  This headline got to me though…

Ron Paul Cheated Again During CNN Debate!

I read the article about how Ron Paul is a total hunk and the person would want to have mad monkey sex with him…wait no, vote for him.  I always get the concepts confused because have you ever talked to people that are REALLY interested in politics?  They are more passionate about it than having sex with a person of interest.  They get so vocal and excited, it almost seems as if they want to go to a rally, go up there, zip off the canadates pants and go at it!  No lie, if you don’t know what I am talking about, read some blogs about Ron Paul.  He has the most bizzare following!

Well, as I degressed there, what really caught me was a statement by some idiot.  Because I don’t care much about copyright laws, here it is :)

If America puts a President in place that continues to send our citizens to die in other countries America obviously doesn’t get it that America will soon run out of living bodies to send to war. Also they will not get it that America is flat broke. Every time the American government prints more money the existing money is worth much less. As the American government keeps printing more money the existing money soon becomes so worthless that a gallon of milk will cost $100, a gallon of gas will cost $400 and (in terms they can understand)
a bottle of beer will cost $300.

The milk, the gas, the beer really doesn’t go up in price. The money goes down in value that’s why stuff costs more.

Don’t you get it folks America IS OUT OF MONEY. AMERICA IS FLAT BROKE!
Every country in the world is stopping lending America money. The ONLY WAY THAT AMERICA CAN CONTINUE TO PAY FOR
ALL THE WARS IN THE OTHER COUNTRIES WE ARE FIGHTING IN IS TO PRINT IT. EVERY TIME AMERICA PRINTS MORE MONEY
YOUR MILK, GAS AND BEER GO UP IN PRICE A FEW MORE PRINTINGS AND AMERICA WILL BE FORCED TO SHUT DOWN. THAT’S NOT STUPID TALKING STUPID THAT’S A FACT ………. WAKE UP!!!
IF YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND THE ABOVE COMMENTS YOU NEED TO QUICKLY FIND SOMEONE WHO CAN EXPLAIN IT TO YOU BEFORE YOU VOTE. IF YOU PUT A PRESIDENT IN THE WHITE HOUSE THAT CONTINUES TO GO TO WAR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY WILL VERY VERY SOON NOT HAVE A HOME OR FOOD TO EAT. LOOK CLOSELY AT THAT HOMELESS GUY HOLDING UP THAT SIGN ASKING FOR FOOD MONEY. I KNOW YOU DON’T BELIEVE IT BUT SOON THAT WILL BE YOU! MY GOD PEOPLE ARE YOU REALLY THAT CONFUSED?

So, lets take this arguement apart, piece by piece.  First, the guy starts off with, we will run out of soldiers to send to war.  I don’t know if he has noticed, but America is dealing with an OVERPOPULATION problem!  Of course, I do not agree with the initial war, but I don’t see how cut and run tatics will work.  Regardless, we can stand to lose a few million people a month rather than a couple hundred and still be able to hold a war for a few years…

Second point, America is broke.  The whole basis of american economy is to run in a debt like status.  It is not overly suprising that our debt is so high, or that our budget is so high.  It is how the government was designed to run.  Of course, it would be great to balance the budget (again) and cut down some debt, but the end of the day, the government is supposed to be in debt.  I wouldn’t say that America, the richest and only super powerhouse in the world at the moment, is broke.  That would be saying something for the rest of the world.

Third point, inflation issue.  Of course, he doesn’t call it a inflation issue, for I don’t think he knows what inflation is.  Regardless, it is true that if you print more money, inflation will increase.  If inflation increases, you need to pay more for purchased items.  Of course, milk and beer are REALLY bad examples, for this applies for IMPORTS not domestic goods.   Now, we do import oil, which in return would cause beer and milk to increase in price, but it just isn’t a great example.

Forth point, crazy caps for no reason talking about nothing.  I DO NOT THINK THAT THIS TATIC WORKS!  PEOPLE DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO RANDOM CAPS SHIT AND DO NOT CARE WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY.  RECAPPING EVERYTHING IN CAPS DOES NOT MAKE YOUR POINT ANY SMARTER.  IT JUST MAKES YOU LOOK LIKE A MORON.  NOTICE HOW STUPID THIS LOOKS?  APPARENTLY YOU DON’T…

Fifth Point: he felt the need to call everyone stupid even though, I wouldn’t call his statements very smart!  I think he felt if he made everyone feel dumb about his venom rantings, it would make us feel like he knows what he is talking about.  Sir, I do not think you do!

Sorry comment man, you do not impress me!  Good day sir!

Hillary Clinton breaks her word with the American People

January 28, 2008

Hillary Clinton made an agreement with Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina that she would not campaign in Michigan or Florida because those delegates would not count in the Democratic National Convention. She arrived today, had a photo op, and will soon be having two private events there. She is claiming that she technically didn’t violate her word, since the events are private. They’re also scheduled days before the Florida election, and she’s saying that the delegates from Michigan and Florida should be seated at the convention. That bears a strong resemblance to campaigning from my point of view.

She’s violating her word with Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina, the four states who have already voted. She’s already gotten paid, but now she’s not holding up her end of the deal. Several weeks ago, I wrote a blog entry about Hillary attacking the Iowa caucus system after taking the votes, and I asked how she would treat the country after we vote her into office. I think this question is really serious, and we should be taking her to task on this.

When we elected George W. Bush in 2000, one of his promises was that the United States would not engage in any sort of nation building. Clearly, that is not what has happened, as we have spent the last four years nation-building in Iraq, using the threat of terrorism as an excuse. What will Hillary’s Presidency bring? What will she use as an excuse to push her own interests over those of the American people?

Hillary says that she isn’t breaking her word, technically. That’s fine, but I think she’s definitely breaking the spirit of her word. Personally, I wouldn’t treat people that way. I think our President has to have integrity and care about making something positive happen in this country more than he or she cares about getting elected. That’s why I don’t think I can bring myself to vote for Hillary, no matter how much I liked President Clinton in the 90′s.

Best reason why Giuliani should give up!

January 22, 2008

I love to read electoral-vote.com and at the bottom of the page, I notice this little table that has a projected listing of delegates.  Seeing is believing, so see away!

CNN is keeping track of the delegates for the Democrats and for the Republicans. Note that other sources may differ because CNN is trying to count the PLEOs (Party Leaders and Elected Officials) and when different reporters call a PLEO and hear “Well, I like Hillary, but Barack has his charms too” they may score it differently. Here is CNN’s count:

Delegates

Clinton 210 Obama 123 Edwards 52 Kucinich 1 Needed: 2025
Romney 72 McCain 38 Huckabee 29 Thompson 8 Paul 6 Giuliani 1 Needed: 1191

http://electoral-vote.com/

With that said, I noticed something of interest here.  I see Kucinich with 1 delegate and just go WOW.  I mean, he said he saw a UFO for christ sakes.  I then compare to the republicans and do a doubletake.  That is right, at the current moment, Giuliani is tied with a person who not only actively believes in aliens, but thought that he saw a UFO!  I believe that is a sign from a higher power, that someone needs to drop out.

If I said I saw an alien and got a vote, I don’t think I would drop…this leaves only one person…who could it be :)

Hillary takes votes from Iowa, then attacks them in New Hampshire

January 5, 2008

After being defeated in Iowa, Hillary Clinton said in New Hampshire: “This is a primary election. You’re not disenfranchised if you work at night; you actually can come out and vote. You’re not disenfranchised if you’re not in the state; you can actually send in an absentee ballot.”

She just got votes from 29% of the state, and she’s slamming the caucus system like that? You’ll notice she didn’t say anything about these feelings a couple days earlier in Iowa. Of course, then 29% of the people wouldn’t have voted for her, because Iowans are proud of their caucus tradition.

How is she going to treat the country after we vote her into office?
