Carnage Blender has been Found Again

October 13, 2008

This was a great web-based RPG that I played a long time ago and was uber addicted to.  I forgot the domain name and had been searching for it for years.  Finally, I just went through every page of MPOGD manually until I recognized the name.  Uh oh, now I’m hooked again.

http://www.carnageblender.com/ (use this link to start with an extra $400)

There’s a tutorial to complete, and challenges for bonus money.  These will get you started.  Be warned, this game is addicting.  Fight against other players and use the XP to train your minions stats and buy skills.  Use the money you get to buy new weapons and equipment.  This is only the start.  As you keep getting stronger, you keep walking up the ladder, but how far does it go?  There are lots and lots of players on this site, which means endless opponents.

Give it a shot.  I highly recommend it.  It’s a great way to spend your 15 minute break because you only have so many battle allowances, and they take time to recharge.  You literally can’t spend all day playing it!  (is that a bonus?)

Loops of Zen Hints, Tips and Walkthrough

Loops of Zen is a game about closing all the loops on a page by rotating the pieces.  Each level is randomly generated, so it’s impossible to write an answer key type walkthrough.  Here are some tips and tricks to get you through the game.  You can play Loops of Zen on Kongregate:

http://www.kongregate.com/games/ahnt/loops-of-zen/

1. Start by looking for places where a piece MUST be turned a certain way.  When there’s a 3-way piece or a straight line, and one edge doesn’t have a piece in that direction (like when it’s the edge of the board), then it’s a dead giveaway that the piece can only be oriented one direction.  Also, when there is a curved piece in the corner it can only be oriented one way.

2. Now look for pieces next to those pieces that you just set that must be turned a certain way to connect to that piece.  Good examples are curve pieces on the edge next to a straight or 3-way piece, or circle pieces with only one connection point next to those same pieces.

3. Many of these pieces that you’ve found in the first two examples were on the outside edges of the board.  Try to finish off the entire outside edges by doing this same techinque.  Use process of elimination to determine which orientations could not possibly work in order to determine which one it must be.

4. Continue working outside in, putting pieces in place which you know are right.  3-way pieces and straight lines are good for this if you can get any piece next to it which does not have a path to that piece, then you know the orientation.  4-way pieces are also good because you know they must connect in every direction.  If they are next to a straight line or a circle piece, you know exactly which way that piece must be oriented to connect to the 4-way.

5. When you run out of pieces which must be in certain directions, look for pieces which at least cannot be in the orientation they display, and change them to one of the possible orientations.  Use this to start putting together the rest of the puzzle.

6. When you get to the end, most of the puzzle will look good, but there will be a few glitches.  These glitches are an extra little piece of loop sticking out which isn’t connected to anything.  You’ll notice that you can change the puzzle to try to repair these glitches, but they won’t be fixed until you can bring two glitches together on the board.  Keep changing the puzzle to move these glitches towards each other, and they will be fixed in pairs as you connect two unconnected glitches to each other to complete a loop.  Repeat until all of the glitches are gone.

That’s it!  There are 50 levels.  The first 30 go from easy to hard.  Then the puzzles get smaller again and include more circle pieces which seem to be more difficult to work out.  Good luck with all 50!

World Wars Walkthrough

August 11, 2008

Another day, another game. Today’s game? World Wars!

I love strategy games so it is no surprise that I loved playing World Wars. I have used this strategy for up to 8 players so I must be doing something correct. First, choose a board where you can fortify your position. I like choosing spots where I have troops at the edge of the map. I’ve won in the middle, but you need a lot more luck. The annoying part of this game is that all troops move forward leaving yourself exposed. The other annoying part of this game is you do not get to choose where the troops go. Do not be too aggressive. Remember, if you lose your front line, you are prone to attack. Only attack one or two spaces at a time. Try to make it so when you attack, your middle part is not exposed. As time goes on, your middle grows in troops and then you can get slightly more aggressive. Also, it is better to be on defense than offense. Once you get later on in the game and you and your opponent has 8 sized units, let your opponent attack you. This shrinks his 8 unit to 1 if he loses and then you can attack this. Slowly you will be able to take the whole map and win the game. Good luck!

Anaksha: Female Assassin Walkthrough

Its been a great couple of walkthroughs! Why? I love sniper games! There has been a lot of them. The latest installment? Anaksha: Female Assassin! Here is what I have done so far…

Mission 1 – shoot the guy with the box of candy
Mission 2 – shoot the guy that pauses in front of twisted delight
Mission 3 – The alleyway has a lot of cigarette butts. Wait for a bald guy to come into that area and start smoking. Fire away.
Mission 4 – Shoot the street lamp above the school wall. Then shoot the guy running.
Mission 5 – Wait for the two guys to start smoking together. Then look for the third guy that looks the same as them to the left. Then shoot the smoking guy to the right. The guy to the left will run. Fire and kill him.
Mission 6 – wait for a guy to light up a cigarette. Fire at his jaw to blow it off
Mission 7 – shoot the guy with the tape in the eye. Then his brother will run to the right. Shoot him. Then shoot the tape
Mission 8 – The main guy will be coming from the left. Shoot him. Then take out the goons. They will be standing in the middle. If you shoot the main guy far enough away from them, they won’t run until you fire on one of them.
Mission 9 – Wait for the guy to stop at the window. Then fire a shot in the middle part of his head
Mission 10 – wait for both men to stand by the theaters. Shoot the one right behind the eyes and then the other. They don’t run, not sure why…
Mission 11 – The guy come from the left and stops to smoke a cigarette. Shoot him in the neck
Mission 12 – Shoot the first ear piece guy coming from the right to left. Then two will be together. Shoot the right guy. Then the left. The boss will be coming from the left to right. Shoot him in the neck
Mission 13 – There is some metal being held by a rope. When he runs under it, shoot it and then shoot the bomb. Why you wouldn’t just shoot the bomb is beyond me…

Clear Vision Elite Walkthrough

August 8, 2008

Another game another day! This day? Clear Vision Elite!

Note: I didn’t put the guys in order on the paper. Except for Aace, I put them in order that I beat the mission on. Also, due to Mr. Petroy’s level, I was unable to beat the game. Either I missed something, or there is a bug but I completed the mission but it never gave a success.

Aace Bradley – shoot the one on the middle right on top of the ship. Then shoot the guy to the right of him. Then shoot the next guy to the right and finish them all

Ernst Zimmerman – shoot his hat from the window. He is walking in the middle part of the mansion

Athir Nostri – shoot him after he shoots the other guy in the meeting

Tony Carter – shoot the power cord above his head and game over…

Stanistav Petroy – shoot the sleeping one and then the other guy. For some reason, I could never get a successful mission from this though…

Anders Mognussan – from the left to the right, count the 13th window and shoot

Mike fernando shoot the snipers before shooting mike. I found that going right to left worked best. Get both snipers on the right in view first, and take them out. then take the rest of em out.

Johan Kristoffersson – shoot the goons first, and then take out johan on the snow mobile. I didn’t zoom, I just got him while moving

Google
