For those of you that do not know, just about everyone, I have made a bet with my father that I will weigh less than him by April. I am currently 235 lbs (down from 280) and he is 218 lbs. The strategy was to work on the upper body, and have more muscle mass burn the calories at a rest period. Of course, the problem with this is that I am also gaining muscle mass along with losing fat. I also eat too much, which doesn’t help the situation.
I also found out that my father has joined a gym.
This means, I must step up my efforts. I WILL NOT LOSE. I CAN NOT LOSE.
With that being said, I know if I eat clean, I will be able to lose more weight. So, I am doing my third attempt at tracking calories. I am also not using my exercise as an excuse to eat more, as this just gets you in trouble. Here is the breakdown of today:
Breakfast 2 Yogurts – 240 calories
Lunch – 2 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on wheat – 600 calories
Dinner – 2 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on wheat – 600 calories
Snack – 3 servings of green tea with honey – 180 calories
Exercise – CardioX for P90X – guessing 400 calories burned
Post Exercise – Creatine drink – 150 calories
Total – 1653
