Its been awhile for me to write a walkthough, but I just feel in love with Pandemic 2! Game link? You got it!
This game is exactly what I am looking for. You create a virus and then infect the world with it! What can get better than this? Well, here is what I did in order to beat this game.
First, pick your method of virus. I went with Virus but was able to replicate this strategy with all three methods. Then, sell whatever “gift” you get when you start the game. This is generally fever. You want to have 0 ill affects with this virus. Next, invest in the climate you are in. If you start in Cuba invest at least level 2 in heat. Then pay attention to where the airplanes go. Do they fly in warm or cool climates? Invest in at least 2 of cold climate as well. Once finished, activate airborne and water spread methods. Insect and rodent seem to be a waste of time to me. Invest in the moisture in order to infect the water supply. Watch in glee as your virus spreads around the world. At this point, level up your disease level. Invest in whatever you feel will kill best. Fever works as a great foundation. Watch as people die and close down the hospitals. If you are lucky, all hospitals will close down before a vaccination has been invented. If not, pray that it doesn’t cure your disease. If it does, game over man, game over! At this point, grab a sandwich and watch as you destroy the known world!

Simply sold off the initial symptom, got the moisture/heat/cold up to level 1, and put all transmissions into effect.
From there just let it run – infected every country. Once they were all infected, increased drug resistance and raised holy hell.

I killed I sold the gift,
got all resistance and transmisions when It spread then I got the sever symptoms.
No doubt I RAISED FREAKING HELL

Ok here’s another kind of sieries of tips.
1. Make your virus unspottable, and use only rodents at the beginning of the game. Build up a ton of resitance, as that will be your main tool for spreading your virus. And do NOT use any symptoms.
2. But here’s the catch: You cannot infect too many people. If you do, then you will have a crazy crowd knowing that your virus has spread everywhere. So don’t get too much resistance. A 1-2-1-0 resistance is good…
3. Now once you have infected the world, (It takes a long time) make sure that you jump out with pretty bad symptoms like heart failiure and Insanity. (I like that lol) And get a sandwich, and watch the show!

doctor: Oh no! not another one!

helpful hint for closing the hospitals: all the symptoms that seem to do nothing, depression, dementia, nausea, ect increase the likelyhood of hospitals clossing.

did not work. madagascar is really hard to infect. unless you start there, it is nearly impossible

I tried the tactics from comment #108, and it worked. Just wait long enough, and the disease will spread out.

i tried this and it worked well in relaxed but when i tried in realistic it didnt do as good the 1 thing tht makes me real mad tho is tht the 1 time i ACCTUALLY get madagasscar i couldnt infect greenland

cant u fight against the vaccine when u invest in drugs? i always invest in drugs and the vaccine always failed.

Doing the stratagy above worked for me, though it took about 60% of the game for the deisease to expand out of madagascar (Which I was lucky enough to start in), and after that it was a piece of cake.
