Addictinggames.com has posted a great new flash shooter called Pop Pirates. This is a top-down shooter controlled by your mouse where you invade a computer system to retrieve your music file. The score is kept in kilobytes, which is cute. Whenever you kill an enemy, a file is left behind which you can pick up. After a few seconds, the file starts to lose size, so pick them up quickly.
The upgrades that you get are pretty cool. I like the anti-virus balls that spin around you. If they hit your enemy they do damage. You also get a nice chomping mouth which seeks on enemies. These upgrades build up as long as you don’t die and are very useful.
The high scores are pretty tough to reach, and the game looks great. I highly recommend it if you like shooters.
