Office Word is an authoring program that gives you the ability to create and share documents using a set of writing tools. This is the new upcoming format for Microsoft Office documents. It is a combination of XML architecture and ZIP compression for size reduction. Microsoft promises the format will be open (published for anyone to use) and prior versions of Office, using components provided by Microsoft for Office 2000, XP, and 2003 will be available to perform document conversion. Remember that these are promises by Microsoft. We have yet to see the actuals. This format is not the same as the OpenDocument standard, also an XML-based standard being developed as a true open standard.

To everyone,

I have a real issue with my wife in the latest wedding she is in.  It is completely out of control!  The bride likes expensive taste, which is fine, so I didn’t complain when the dress was in the 200 dollar range.  It is everything else that is completely out there!

Bridal shower – 300 dollars a person.  There are 6 people in this wedding!

Bridal shower favor (yes, I thought that would be included in the price too) 55 dollars a person

Bridal shower gift (when will it end) 92 dollars a person!!!!

Total bridal shower expenses:  447 dollars

Bachelet party – 165 dollars a person (this pays for dinner, limo, hotel, and entertainment.  This does not pay for liquor.  My wife is not going to buy any liquor since she is pregnant)

Now, I don’t see why a limo or hotel is in order.  For my wife’s party, which the bride had planned, did NOT have a limo, or hotel, or nearly this many expenses.  She went cheap, but nice for her.  Now, in return, she expects these expensive things.  She even made a comment that my wife isn’t the type of person that needed expensive things but she does.  That is one of the crappiest comments I have ever heard.  Well back to the prices…

Wedding day – hotel 200 dollars.  Nails, hair, and everything else, I would guess 200 dollars.

Grand total:  1212 dollars!  THAT DOES NOT INCLUDE A WEDDING GIFT!

Can my wife not go to the bachelet party?  With a baby on the way, I can think of much better things to do with 1212 dollars.  I like this girl, don’t get me wrong, but no wedding should be THAT much money to be in.  Am I wrong?  If you have some suggestions, I am open to hear!

Another game, another day.  What’s this game?  BALL BALANCE!

The game is simple.  Drop balls on the balance.  Every ball has a set weight so drop them wisely.  Balls affect the balance according to their distance from the fulcrum.  Match three balls of the same color horizontally or vertically to make them disappear.  Let the balance hit the ground and its game over. 

Simple right?  My strategy to this game is to connect the same color horizontally and make connections of 4 or 5 at a clip.  This provided higher scores but is harder to do in the later levels.  Then, I would just go for the vertical when I can no longer sustain the horizontal connection anymore.

This is a good tower defense game but the upgrades are a little screwy.  The units you build do not upgrade its attack level but depending on what units you build, you can get different buildings.  For example, if you destroy 5 air units, you will then get this building.  It makes for an interesting game, but kinda makes the game a little easier.  I just played on easy and none of the units made it past the first row of attacks. 

Well lets get to strategy, what I did was I wanted to get as many upgraded buildings as possible, so I just listened to I was supposed to do to get upgraded buildings.  I put most ground units in the first row of the path and then had the air units at the middle.  The only thing I didn’t do is I did not buy any anti-air weapons for the first air attack and could not destroy them.  Once I learned my lesson, this did not happen again.  I am sure that harder levels are harder, but I would of rather easier to be, well harder.

So, everything is hindsite it seems.  I had agreed to collect the IT bills in regards to blackberry and treo devices.  I figured it wasn’t going to be a big deal.  When you setup a device, you ask for a check.  Then when corporate sends out a list, you collect a check.

Well, with me leaving, apparently, it is a big deal.  Everyone wants to know who I collected from and crap, and corporate is REALLY slow with getting this latest list out.  Without this list, I cannot compare who I charged and shit.  It is quite annoying, but that is besides the point.  I have a bunch of shit to do today, and I totally didn’t need this.  I NEED TO FINISH WRITING A EXPENSE REPORT!!!

Oh well, time to get going with that…

Well, since I quit my job and took a new job in NYC, all the signs have been saying to not do this.  First, they close down the metro north lines due to a building collapsing in Harlem, now a bomb is exploded in times square.

What next?

Now, mind you, these things really don’t bother me, but they do bother my wife.  I mean, no one got hurt (that I know of) with the building issue, and no one got hurt with the 3 AM bombing incident.  And besides, I am not even going to be in NYC at 3 am in the morning, hopefully ever.  It is still amazing that all this shit is going on after I gave my 3 week notice…

There is not much to walkthrough on this game, but it is truly awesome.  Remember virtual cop?  You know, the original?  This game is a spoof of that game.  The formula just equates to AWESOME!  If you play this game, don’t stress out about dying, as you can continue as much as you want.  Once you get to the end boss, a little matrix bit goes on and then the game is over.  This game is definately worth a play once or twice if you have nothing better to do!

I like flash games that are simple yet addicting.  This game meets all of my requirements.  The goals are simple.  You are a smiley face.  You want to become the best smiley face, so you need to jump on the heads of all the other smiley faces to get to the top.  What may that be?  Who knows!  Columbus discovered the world was round (sorta…) so why can’t you find out how high it is until the end.  My guess is never, but perhaps it is 9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999…  

So now lets get to core of the game.  It is simple.  When you are a yellow smiley, jump on the yellow color.  Green on green and so on.

I have a ranting story that just happened to me today regarding what happens when people do not follow standards.  I had a server that needed to be rebooted and thought this was going to be a routine reboot.  After I reboot, I can RDP into the server perfectly but I was receiving a duplicate name error on the machine itself.  It turns out that someone (Against the company standard) had enabled the second nic card and plugged it into the network.  It was trying to get an address through DHCP but the server had the other nic already registered statically.  If the server was configured by company standard, I would not of wasted an hour trying to figure out what is going on and it bled into the working day as well.

The only good thing that came out of this was the fact that I got to go into work late…and will get paid for it.  Yeay to working late…WOOOT
