So, I sent the following email to my boss this morning. I have received a job offer from my last company that will pay me signifigantly more money and would be stupid not to take it. This job I am at now is not going anywhere and barely even stimulating my time. Well…without further ado, I provide you with the email I sent to my boss!
Boss,
I just wanted to let you know that my former company (Bit by Bit) had contacted me yesterday evening with a very tempting job offer. They are creating a Tier 3 helpdesk position and they want me to head it. Here is the salary breakdown:
- $60,000 base salary, with bonus $70/75k
- Pay 65% of grad school
- 2 days per week from home and 1 extra day per month from home
- Monthly Billable Hour Bonus
- 60hrs=$200, 80hrs=$400, 100hrs=$600, 120hrs=$800
- Enrollment in our Simple Ira
- Re-enrollment in our profit sharing program at 2%
our 3rd quarter distribution was based on $60,00
our 4th quarter distribution was based on $90,000
This would have been an extra $3000
- 2 weeks per year of training on topic that is relevant to expanding your IT knowledge
- 3 weeks vacation per year
- 3 days per week at bbb offices 7am – 4pm, 2 days per week work at home
They want to fill this position ASAP and would like to have the start date around the 10th of March. Lets setup a time to talk about this but I don’t see how I can turn down this opportunity.
