I had an ongoing problem that I could not resolve. When people would print out their MLS printings, the price would get cut off. No one would care if it was anything other than the price! I thought it was the following wrong things:
- Printer driver
- Printer itself
- Computer itself (getting warmer)
- Printer settings
- Printer share
I had checked everything under the sun except the most ovious thing. I never checked the application layer from the OSI model. NOTE: I always hated the OSI model and said that it was not an important thing to know. Now, in real life, I tend to use that damned model all the time! The problem was an IE issue. Here is how one resolves this issue in IE:
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Click File
- go to Page Setup
- Look at Margins Box
- Decrease margins to suitible size. It was .75 and I changed it to .50.
- Do happy IT dance
I also checked Firefox, and here is how you resolve it there as well. None of the agents use firefox, but hell, might as well provide that as well!
- Click File
- Click the margins and header/footer tab
- Change margins accordingly
- Do happy IT dance
Well, there you go! Just for your refeence, when you search google for happy IT dance, you get this. It is the forth link. ENJOY!

That used to work. Now in MLS (I am on a mac and do use Firefox) my first page of properties is good and the second page an on will have the top and right margin missing some and the print is larger…
