NOTE: See Sonny 2 walkthrough here!
A game? Oh yes a game! Here is the walkthrough (work in progress of) of Sonny! Its awesome, you must play it!
http://www.addictinggames.com/sonny.html
Unfortunately, this is a work in progress. I have only gotten past the first few levels but I can tell this game is going to be AWESOME! More information will be updated as I am able to do it!
Classes
Destroyer – A physical melee class, specializing in strength and endurance. You can play as a defensive (survival) or offensive character. This seemed like a logical beginner character so I choose this. There are 3 other options.
Guardian – A hybrid class, based in both magic and physical strength. The guardian has very high survivability and offers many different play styles.
Assassin – A physical melee class, with high speed and high burst damage, but low health
Gunslinger – A magic-based class, that can deal massive damage with deadly spells and abilities. The Gunslinger, however, has very low health.
Stage 1 – destroyer Ship
This seems to be an intro where you learn how to attack and manage everything. Just defeat all the enemies and you should be ok!
Be sure to visit the shop to buy some more items! The teeshirt looks very stylish this time of year! Well, I will keep working on this but feel free to give suggestions!
Stage 2
I recommend training your character before fighting the next level. You earn exp and get items that will be VERY useful… I did a real fight and atraining fight alternating to make sure I had enough EXP to move forward..
Note: make sure you buy weapons for you class level!!! I learned this the HARD way!
Stage 2 boss – I beat the boss by having my teemage on tactical and using the wound attack for everything. I also used iron skin to give myself some more health as well.
Stage 3 – It seems that you should be on level 10 before moving forward. If you are not, like myself, you will need to level up!
Tip: Sometimes it is better to just survive until the enemy runs out of magic. Once they do, their attacks are much much weaker!
Tip: sometimes luck plays a role. I have played the same battle 20 times until I finally win. Sometimes, the enemies unfairly gang up on a unit causing much harm!
End boss baron: Keep your players alive. Use break and hope nothing ill happens to the medic…I also equipped all defensive moves to keep my players alive longer. It took a LONG time but I eventually beat the boss..
End Boss Paridin: pending – Remember to equip back the attack gear. I beat him by removing all of my stats and focusing on health and regen. I also had smash and break. I used break when he put rage on himself and kept healing myself and my partner. It took some time, but Sonny was triumphant!
Level 4 – Non Story mode
Note, you need to go to the map in order to get to Level 4. I was playing the boss for level 3 a few thousand times before I figured this out…
Training level – So training level is annoying. Once they start shielding, and you are down a man, just give up. It is not worth fighting over. I have the new girl set as aggressive and the medic set as defense. Also don’t forget to equip the new girl! She is your whole attack strategy. Whoever she hits first, focus on. Also, keep her alive at all costs! If she falls, the enemy is much harder!
Note from anonymous: you have more than then assassin girl. you also have a gunslinger, destroyer, and guardian. there will be boxes beside the assassin girl in ur inventory, you just have to shift+click the box to use them. they start at level 12, and it takes a while to train them, but it’s worth it since they each have their advantages against each boss.
Ignition – I used a very basic strategy to defeat him.
- Break his knee caps. I used the shatter bolt to stun him two turns and break to stun him 1 turn. That is 3 turns he cannot move. I would then depend on my assasin to take big hits.
- Invest in healing. I would heal if he put the death spell on a character. Alive characters are happier than dead ones
- Stay alive! You do those tips, you will have him dead!
Omen: I have not defeated him yet just beat him but here is my strategy
- knock out his knees when he casts the strength. Thats it
It takes a long time, but it does work. I used break instead of ice because it seemed to match up better…
Good luck!
Doctor Herregods: Strategy used by eatmyrice. It works. hurt him for 10000 hp then perform subversion on him
From Doron in the comments:
Here’s a more organized post, since last time i was in a hurry.
First, here are a few tips that helped me.
* Shatter bolt is probably the best spell. Always have it in your arsenal – equipped twice. Why is it so good? well, it takes out the really big buffs (dark omen, enrage, super healings). Once you know these are coming you can always prevent them for at least two turns. But here is the main reason: it gives you TIME. in this turn based game, time is very important – your cooldown in other spells recovers during that time, your teammates can heal you/them and you can take out an opponent completely once he has low health.
* Break is probably the next best spell from the same reason, but not always needed if you have shatter bolt twice. In tough battles, it is wise to equip it also, just in case and you need that extra turn.
* Besides the combat medic, I prefer to have the gunslinger girl next to me. She can heal just as the combat medic, and cast many spells that “curse” the enemy. She can cast the re-energize spell. Also, there’s always a nice chance she’ll cast shatter bolt. She also has lower speed than you (probably) and in most battles it can help you.
Now for the big bosses (again):
* Equip yourself with all the class’s items. Equip the medic with the entire paladin’s suit, and one of the big guns (to gain extra magic or focus). The other teammate should be fully equipped according to his class as well.
* You can level up as much as you want, it will only be good for you. But let’s agree that sonny lvl 25 is probably enough.
* Ignition:
Respec. Invest in heroic motivation rank 3, so you can dispell 3 spells from your team mates – in case and they have more curses besides “fate”. Place two of these in the bar. Invest in block for 1 rank. This is for the option and you have “fate” on you (use it instead of heroic motivation if able). It is better that you go first in this battle, so you can always heal teammates from “fate”. That means you need to have the highest speed – you can either invest in points, or take some speed boosts objects from your teammates. Also – it is recommended not to use the assassin girl since she might cast shadow blend and this can lead into her being killed. Since the “fate” spell is no longer a factor in the battle, you should win with whatever class you play.
* Omen:
Respec. As given in my tips, if you place two shatter bolts and one break, you should be able to always prevent the attack after the dark omen spell, and slowly kill omen. Since it takes time, you should consider putting high regeneration so you’ll have enough focus during the battle. If you don’t use the assassin girl, it will take a long time to kill him. If you do use her (cause you want some serious damage), PAY ATTENTION: if she uses the shadow blend spell, youll get an extra attack. Use it. Then, when it is about to end (one round left), USE SHATTER BOLT. Omen will now have an extra attack (just as you did) but will miss it since you stunned him. Now, even with the assassin girl, you prevented the effect of the dark omen spell. Now all you have to do is to wish the medic uses his poison when omen uses dark omen – it will damage him for something around 50k (and will make the battle a lot shorter).
* Dr. whatever
:
Respec. Take subversion and shatter bolt. Equip shatter bolt twice. This might take some time but you should hit him for 10000 damage. Once he’s close to the 99000 limit, use shatter bolt. Then, when the effect ends, use the second shatter bolt. This should give you the extra damage you need to cast the subversion spell (cause if you cast it and your teammates then hit him, they might bring his life back up to over 99000). When the stun effect ends – cast subversion. If the dr. is under 99000 health, he will kill himself.
* Shdow:
First you have to realize this game depends on a little luck. If you miss this dude on crutial times, just try again. Maybe leveling up more can help you.
Now you can choose from two methods to kill this guy:
1. With teammates – respec. Learn disruption and shatter bolt (both can be rank 1). Equip disruption twice, shatter bolt twice, and break. Also, very usefull is electro bolt, especially when he has shadow blend on him. The other spaces should be for attacking abilities. The point here is to never let him have 100 focus. In the first turn use shatter bolt. This will make him lose that extra turn in the first round (or is it just happening to me?). Then hit him for disruption (you can try shatter bolt first, in case and you keep missing the disruption spell. This will give two opportunities to cast it, in case and you miss the first time. Then again, if you miss the shatter bolt itself, it won’t do you any good). Kill his 2 shadow buddies and then go for him. This should take a long time and might be frustrating, but in the end you’ll be able to kill him – as long as you keep him without 100 focus.
2. Without teammates – respec. Invest in regeneration, reform, block. Equip block twice. You can also put subversion just in case. Anytime he has 100 focus, cast one of these. They should keep you alive for that turn. Let your teammates die, and start killing him slowly. Reform, regeneration and even some sort of focus recovery are important so you won’t die or run out of focus during the normal battle. Without his super attack it should take you a long time to kill him, but hopefully eventually you’ll do it.
Good luck!

I can now deal over 40g dmg and one hit kill every one i am able to still fight including shadow. If you take items carry them to the abilities button click it the drop them into your abilities box you get to keep all the stat and piercing and defense numbers. although getting to where im at still is far from easy. But i like the god like feeling of seeing the 30,000 pop up when there are no buffs
September 1st, 2008 at 11:48 am
Bah. Easy game, but fun the first time through XD. Thenagain, I’ve beaten the whole thing with Assassin, Guardian, Destroyer. STill working on Gunslayer tho
September 2nd, 2008 at 2:48 am
I on the other hand have been playing sinjid for about 20 hours with no luck. I’ve tried every respec example in this walkthrough and nothing is working. I give up.
September 8th, 2008 at 9:21 pm
heh, gunslinger? best thing to do is mentioned in the guide, with all your stats put into strength since you’re going to need it.
September 14th, 2008 at 8:42 am
t0 kill the doctor guy doctor…. i did shatter bolt then smashed him, shatter bolt, attacked again, break and then a subversions so he 1 hit k0′s himself, easy
I think that shadow guys are alot easier than the other bosses :S
September 26th, 2008 at 1:09 am
I’ve been fighting Galiant the Paladin
for a few days now, and he just won’t quit
healing himself. I know a strategy……..
You lower his focus very VERY low, and then
begin to hit him left and right, knock his
health down… But he kills Veradux too easily.
I’ve been trying to find the best armor for
Veradux, besides his own (which I sold)…
He seems to be doing better without it anyway.
As of now, I have him in mender armor,
but is there a better set for him to use?
September 26th, 2008 at 1:47 am
SCRATCH THAT!
I just totally OWNED him in the head.
And I got a pretty cool suit of armor!

Guy’s I can post 2 Sonny glitches, they’re so awesome that you’ll feel like you’re on crack when you’ll use them, first one is unlimited money and 1 free level: completing any fight you’r screen darkenss, so whenever you killed you’r enemy and the screen starts to darken click the red quit X button, then load you’r character and then you will get the rest. And my second glitch gives you alotz of free stats, you can keep on doing it, so here we go: Buy ANYTHING what has stats, for example you bought Survivors leggings in Gadi’Kala, the stats are Speed+3, Vitality+4, and now this gear is in you’r inventory, drag it to you’r Abilities window and ‘click’ anywhere and now you got on 3 Speed and 4 Vitality more tan before. HINT: you can use items that arent you’r class too, I hope i helped, Byeee
October 13th, 2008 at 6:39 pm
awesome glitch, the stats one works, the other one is too tricky on the timing perhaps and I haven’t been able to work out.
Note: if u do the stat crack, DO NOT RE SPEC unless u were able to do the first one and are willing to go thorught all the trouble of rebuying stuff, don’t respec cause it wipes all the gains….
October 17th, 2008 at 5:21 am
which 1 exactly you couldnt work out??
October 17th, 2008 at 5:24 am
ooh that 1 well it’s easier than you think when it starts darkening just click the “Exit” button, its even easier to understand than to understand the other 1
October 17th, 2008 at 5:24 am

October 29th, 2008 at 8:05 pm
if i am a destroyer but my speed is only around 50 how can i beat sinjid??? it is killing me!!!
November 18th, 2008 at 2:33 am
You forgot something! During training for the last stage, if your assassin girl has shadow blend and when the enemy has intervention, just carry on. Shadow blend can allow the assassin’s attack to be strong enough to penetrate the shield
November 18th, 2008 at 8:40 am
Hey, how do i get my teammate to level up? or how do i adjust him abilities? cos he’s leveled up like 5 times (same as me) and i dont know how to give him new, better attacks. his health is only on around 300!
November 27th, 2008 at 10:15 pm
I use an assassin with full paladin and two teammates, one a combat medic with full paladin, and an assassin with full paladin and were all level 17. Im have trouble killing shadow.ill post my stats for killing him and someone tell me wats wrong:1 level 1 electro bolt, 3 level 5 smashes, 2 level 1 shatter bolts, and 2 level 1 disruptions.thx in advance
December 3rd, 2008 at 12:33 am
Forgot to mention that when fighting ignition you need electro bolt to dispell a buff he casts on himself to heal 1000 health per turn. Otherwise it will take ages to widdle him down. But heroic motivation you can leave to only dispell once, and you can put it multiple times in your attack circle, i wouldnt waste 3 attribute point on it.
December 3rd, 2008 at 12:34 am
Dude the paladin sucks if your an assassin but the assassins set after u beat the game… otherwise i would stick with the previous gear, but defintely put paladin on your medic.
December 3rd, 2008 at 3:13 pm

k this is my strategy for singid,s shadow
__________________________________________
first off u must have the medic and the girl, first take out his helpers(easy part).then if u specced in it try to use interrupt spells for about the first half of the fight this will make it easier s our guys dont that spell that says next turn this guy dies.if u do this u should get em down in about well tok me 5-7 minsu guy smight be better idk.
December 15th, 2008 at 5:17 pm
Wow!
Thanks a lot, I finally made it!
The Shadow strategy works! Believe it!
Thank you all!!
December 18th, 2008 at 11:25 pm

using the assassin with shadow blend on and doin master strike would rape
December 23rd, 2008 at 11:07 pm
hmm im having some trouble on the sequel to sonny im on the last part fighting the Mayor and hes gaurdian cannon.
my strategy so far has been going into wraith form then beating him to a pulp
but they get wicked buffs like service and stuff for 99 turns and canniot be dispelled it boost intel and strenth very frustrating.if anyone has gotten this far please comment back.
January 9th, 2009 at 9:46 pm
how do we get other teammates? i’ve only gotten the medic.
January 10th, 2009 at 5:55 pm
A good zombie? Almost impossible, but not in this game!
PLAY THE HACKED VERSION!!!
March 28th, 2009 at 5:49 pm
Somehow, I managed to turn off the plotline subtitles that come at the beginning of a fight. How do I turn those back on?
April 3rd, 2009 at 4:38 pm
hey can i buy a link in your link section for a couple bucks via paypal? i want to get like minded readers – let me know please
May 3rd, 2009 at 8:31 pm
i´ve finish the game now.
I choise Guardian.
The guide is very good, but in the last boss you could make the guide easy to follow.
Simply equip sonny with:
2 block, level 1
2 shatter bolt, level 1
quick strike
break
heroic motivation, level 3
electro bolt, level 1
put your friends in offensive mode.
1º block,
I of your friends will probably die, finish with the weaker enemy.
when he has 100 focus, block, then atack with shatter bolt when available, electro bolt to make damage, or break.
Let your friends die.
when your life is under 1500-> heroic motivation.
September 2nd, 2009 at 7:48 pm
I beat ignition at level 12 using 4 disruptions, a blood focus, and 3 heroic motivations.
The heroic and blood focus need to be at tier 2. I am not sure if this is the lowest level you can win at. I have seen the assassin block to stop fate and Veradux can heal himself from fate also.
I focused my items/attributes on speed to heal everyone from fate. I didn’t like using block. I did use the assassin because she could get big attacks at 500% speed, maybe it was luck she never died, but I didn’t know you could switch.
September 2nd, 2009 at 9:32 pm
Buy boots.
Fight the end boss of the first level twice to obtain an extra weapon for Veradux.
Give Veradux gear that boosts his vitality.
Boost your speed with attribute points.
Don’t cast iron skin and supression over one another. Alternate between attacks and defensive strategies to stay busy.
Level 2. Magic Bolt
Level 3. Iron Skin
Level 4. Electro Bolt
Level 5. Aggression
Level 6. Flame Strike (mix 2 with 1 magic bolt)
Level 7. Blood Focus
Level 8. Heroic Motivation
Level 9. Heroic motivation (tier 2)
select guardian ally
Re-spec to get disruption, heroic motivation(t2), and blood focus(t2) to beat ignition. (drain his magic/heal allies)
buy judgement for and select assassin ally
Re-spec, use break, aggression, heroic motivation, iron skin, blood focus, and shatter bolt to defeat Omen. (break him during dark omen/use quick strike to save focus/cast aggression on assassin)
September 2nd, 2009 at 9:46 pm
Have the magic bolt with two flame strikes for a nifty combo (bolt, flame, bolt, flame, etc.)
Use iron skin as an opening move.
September 2nd, 2009 at 10:12 pm
get
Level 7. Heroic Motivation
first
then get
Level 8. Blood Focus
October 19th, 2009 at 7:27 am
Lower its HP to less than half, then use Subversion
November 29th, 2009 at 4:40 am
Im like Guardian lvl 15. I can do training like 50 time and i don’t Gain 1% exp. So What is the problem. The game do me the same thing in Destroyer mode. How much time i go training or do real battle i don’t gain Lvl up… Somebody here post that he is lvl 25… I Can’t just Believe him !!!
December 12th, 2009 at 7:22 pm
Very helpful post. Very clear commentary and suggested phrasing are most impressive, as are his and your generosity in sharing this explanation and example
December 16th, 2009 at 7:12 am
hey how do you get to the fourth level i went to the map and im confused
February 12th, 2010 at 2:51 am
to beat shadow guy,as guardian, take two fully leveled blocks, two electro bolts for shadow blend and damage, two shatter bolts, and regeneration at least level 8.the last two slots are jest for damage dealing.you can then shatter him, beat his teammates with the help of yours, and then you can combo him with shatter bolt and block so he can never damage you.have at least 50 speed.for other classes just use different damage dealers that fit.

October 8th, 2010 at 8:18 am
why do walkthroughs always tell you “stay alive!” instead of telling you how to defeat the bosses? and 1 more thing… How about defeating the bosses with other classes?
October 19th, 2010 at 3:06 pm
i found as a gun slinger that useing blood focus is ABSOLUTY nessary for beating shadow on area 4 other wise your focus will drain faster befor you can say oops but thanks for the tips none the less
March 13th, 2011 at 5:09 am
I am assasin lvl 25 , I know how to gain more and more EXP. train in 4th zone , if you lvl up , the enemies will lvl up too , so if you keep training you still got 10-30 %
September 14th, 2011 at 5:34 am
im a gunslingingr and can do over 30k damage cuz im a cheater =). go into invent, click an item, click options and drop it into the backround. the objects stats and peircings/defenses. you dont have to be the required level for the item or even the required class! NOTE: if you respec it will take away all of the bonuses you have added.
i have clocked the game and am level 52.
