How to edit custom words in outlook spelling dictionary

November 13, 2007

Add Specialized Words To The Dictionary

If you use technical or industry terms or other unusual words, you can add them to the custom dictionary file (Custom.dic). Outlook 2003 (and other Office programs) won’t stumble over them during spell check. (You can also use this method to delete unwanted words from the custom dictionary.)
Select Options on the Tools menu and click the Spelling tab. In the Options dialog box, click the Edit button. Outlook 2003 will open Custom.dic, which is a Notepad file. You’ll see a list of any words you added to the custom dictionary by clicking the Add To Dictionary button during previous spell check operations.

Next add the new words pressing ENTER after each word. You do not need to add the words in alphabetical order. When you finish select Save from the File menu and click the X at the top-right of the window to close the file.

Sadly, it took me awhile to figure this one out.  Thank god for the internets.  For the full article, feel free to reference here.

It is amazing what you can find on the internet without having a need to call anyone… :)

Name change – Project Failure into Project Success

So you can tell I am upgrading myself here.  I have moved from the domain that was provided for me (wvenezia.wordpress.com) to a more spiffy name.  We shall call it….blog.sillica.com!

I have owned the sillica.com name for a long time now.  I might as well make something of the domain!  I have the website pointed to another server and can do things with it but I thought that blog.sillica.com was fitting.  If I wanted to make something more of sillica.com, I can and use the blog.sillica.com as an offshoot.  No one really has to know that the blog came before the actual site :)

This also shows that I have continued faith in my blog and its success.  I believe that I am doing pretty good for myself.  So far I am getting between 100 to 200 hits a day.  I can thank most of that success on the review of addictinggames.com but who is going to be picky :)   People like the kbs as well.  What I like about the reviews is that it is orgional content and while the kbs are origional, I get the content from other sites.

Well I am glad that people are taking a gander at my blog and I hope to see the hits keep on a comin!

Review and Walkthrough of Shock Defence

And to bat, here is the next game to review from Addictinggames.com.  This is one of my personal favorite games, Shock Defence!!!  For ease, here is the link.

http://www.addictinggames.com/shockdefence.html

One of the things that makes this game great is the simplicity of it.  You start out with 75 dollars and a board with a start and an end.  The idea is simple, keep the enemies from getting to the end.  You have 20 lives and if 20 enemies pass the end, you die.  Simple right?

Now lets get to the nitty gritty of it all.  You have the options to build the following defence units.

Stick Tower –  Cost $8 – Fast attack speed with minimal damage.  Attack mode: Land + Air

Stone Tower – Cost $10 – Slow attack speed dealing greater damage and splash as stones shatter on impact.  Attack Mode: Land

Slingshot Tower – Cost $12 – Great damage, fast attack speed and a wider attack range.  attack mode: Air

Poison Dart Tower – Cost $50 – Slow poison attack and average damage with high attack rate.  Slow enemies effect with poison damage.  Attack mode – Land + Air

NOTE: NEED POISON TO BUILD THIS

Tower of the Fire Bolt – Cost $50 – Great damage but slow attack speed.  Attack mode: Land.

NOTE: NEED FIRE TO BUILD THIS

Tower of Lightning – Cost $50 – Great damage, slow attack rate with electric static field that damage and slow enemies in a certain radius.  Attack mode: Land + Air

NOTE: NEED LIGHTNING TO BUILD THIS

Shock Rocket Tower – Cost $220 – Massive range and massive damage.  Attack mode: Land + Air.

NOTE: NEED ALL 3 ADVANCE TOWERS BEFORE BUILDING THIS

Also all towers have upgrades as well.  I am not going to get into the upgrades much but I will say this, all upgrades are worth it except for the last lightning upgrade.  It costs too much $$$ and not enough rewards.  Build more lightning towers or Super Towers before investing your money into that.

With that said, onwards to the strategy.  There are a lot of different methods on how to beat this game.  I will provide a method that will get you to win, but may not get you the most points.  I will also say, it is very possible to cheat at this game and I have done it.  The cheat makes the game boring and I lost interest in playing it after I discovered how to do it.  Therefore, I will not be providing how to cheat… :)   If you really want to figure it out, the answers are out there…but I have warned you…it will ruin a very fun game for you.

Level 1 – Build a stone tower and place it by the beginning.  For ease, you can upgrade it once.  Let the waves of critters come as you can easily defeat them for the first few levels.  Use the stone tower defence until you can upgrade.  Upgrade to lightning tower.  At this point, ride the lightning towers until you can get super towers.  With a few upgraded super towers, you should have no problem beating the game.  Yes, it is THAT easy.

A few other pointers is that this game has an interest system.  Try to spend as little amount of money per round.  The more money in the kitty at the end of the round, the more interest you will earn.  The more interest you earn, the more money you have to invest in towers.  The concept is simple…the rest is up to you!

Overall, I love these type of games.  I give the initial gameplay a solid 10.  This game saved me a ton of boredom while waiting for a delayed flight in Chicago….the flight was delayed for 6 hours and Shock Defence insanity continued the whole time…Once you figure out the cheat, the gameplay plummets to a 2.  The cheat makes it way too easy to win and it completely ruins the concept of the game.  It also takes the fun of trying to get the high score which kills the replay value.  All in all I would recommend you to play this game!
