I just still do not understand traffic.  We sit in it all day and it is due to our idiotcy that it exsists in the first place.  If we were calm and collected while driving, the cars will all flow.  Since we are not, we bob and weave in an out of lanes causing traffic!  It really irritates me when traffic is not caused my an accident.  It irritates me even more when traffic is caused my a moron who is pulled over in the fast lane because they needed a break from driving!

 DAMNED 684….this happens at least once a week causing much un-needed delays!

I don’t quite understand why people complain when they get the email of “System Administrator.  Your inbox is full” This email is generated about 20 times a day (to make sure that you know, your inbox is full…” if it was generated less than this, people would complain that they did not get notified. 

I just had a person on the phone arguing me about how this is too many emails and started deleting emails from 2 weeks ago with this generated message….TRY CHECKING YOUR EMAIL AND THEN YOU WOULD NOT HAVE A PROBLEM!

 I do not understand people and why they think they are better than everyone else.  Oh well another day!

I just did my first presentation for how to use Outlook Web Access…it was interesting to say the least.  I really didn’t think that people would be interested in learning how to use OWA but apparently, I am wrong.  They were asking all of these wierd questions and just wanted to know how to do everything in OWA.  All in all, I believe that this was a successful attempt at a presentation…

Well I would like to have at least once a week of stupid issues people come to me.  Here is the first of the series:

USER: “Quick HELP! The mouse in the large conference room is not working!!!”

ME: “OK lets take a look”

USER: “Look see…” *the user tries to move the mouse around and shows what the issue is…

ME: “Here try it like this…” *I turn the mouse around so it is facing the correct way.  The mouse is wireless and the user had the back part of the mouse facing forward and the buttons in back.  She was also trying to left mouse click the back end of the mouse…where there is no buttons at all.

 I AM AT AWE OF THE STUPIDITY OF THIS OFFICE!

So my wife has this 20 year old friend that she met through a christian group that she is a member of.  She calls me yesterday and was like, do you want to go get ice cream with Adam?  I was like….uhh…sure I suppose.

As we arrive at friendlys we approach a table and there is 20 year old Adam, 35 year old Father of Saint Marys church, 15 year old boy, 16 year old boy.  It felt like I was in highschool all over again except now I WAS the person sitting at the table where everyone was like, I love those people while deep down they hated them.

I now remember why I hated highschool.   Needless to say, I do not have much to relate to the younger generations so I minded my own business for most of the night.  I did get to eat ice cream, so who can complain? 

 My wife really needs to find people closer to her own age to hang out with.  At least we are only 26 but that is still a 11 year spread.

Well I figure I will update you all on my ghost project.  I have imaged all machines.  I am now going to all the machines with the following process:

1. Label them with machine name.  CTM###

2. Join the computer to domain with labeled machine name

3. Add Eastern Admins as local admin

4. Reboot

5. Login as me and install Macafee and Landesk

6. Turn off.

Exciting I know!  Hopefully I will have these computers done today because I am going to pack them in my car tomorrow.  DON’T LET THE FUN TIMES END!

I would like to take a moment to remember the loss of life due to September 11th.  I remember clearly where I was when the towers collapsed.  I was in a computer class in college with my favorate professor learning about information systems.  The class was cancelled that day but we continued because the towers had only been hit and had not fallen.  My professor was Russian and he proceeded to tell us his viewpoints on terrorism and how it will affect the world.  He was pretty close on a lot of his points.

Lets take a few seconds to remember the past and hope we don’t make the same mistakes that caused such tragic loss of life!

Well today started off like a normal day.  I drive through the downtown of danbury, then get on 84.  As I am driving down 84 to get onto 684, some person verred off into the grass and their car was smoking and everything.  A bounch of people were being nice and stopping ans such…which kinda pissed me off because they were blocking my exit…

 I have no problem with people helping for the good of humanity but DO NOT BLOCK THE EXIT DAMNIT!

Well I make it onto 684 and about 5 miles into the ride, my GPS informs me that I will see 28 miles of traffic in my future…FUCK

GPS, in its infinate wisdom beeped back at me saying that it will take care of me.  It gets me off the next exit and we go down these windy roads with no end in site…finally it doubles me back to 684 about 10 miles down from where the traffic was.  GREAT!  No 28 minutes of traffic on 684.

 As I get to 287,  my little GPS chimes in, DO NOT GET ON 287….YOU WILL DIE!  How can I refuse living or dying so I listened to the little device again.  It brought me to highways I wish to never know the name of again…only to send me to an exit that is CLOSED!  The little bastard is playing with me now.  I get off the next exit and then all is good in the world.

 Needless to say, the commute was interesting this time around.  I hope that it is a straight shot on the way back because I only have a 1/4 of a tank of gas left…..

So I just found out why the last person who had my job got fired.  He went drinking with another co-worker (who is not pretty…) and rang up a 400 dollar tab.  He then proceeded to EXPENSE THE DINNER!  Once it got red-flagged by corporate, he tried to rope up his boss and this other chick (who is decent looking) to cover for him.  Suprisingly, my boss agreed but somewhat hot chick did not.  The end result, the king is dead, long live the king!

I have a pretty major nasal blockage going on here.  Whenever I blow my nose, the pressure gets unbearable!  I had such a hard time sleeping last night.  I woke up at 2 AM and it was completely blocked up!  I took some alergy medication (which I am unsure if this is a cold or a new allergy) and it seemed to dry things enough to get some light sleep.  I just want this cold to go away!
